Here is my current gear list with links to. I say β€œcurrent” as this list seems to change as needs change…or when GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) kicks in.

My Camera Gear:

A Nikon Z8 mirrorless camera.

Nikon’s latest mirrorless camera. Rated as the best mirrorless camera on the market.

This a compact 14-30mm zoom range with a fixed f/4 aperture and outstanding image quality.

Nikon NIKKOR 14-30mm f/4 S Lens
Nikon NIKKOR 24-70mm f/4 S Lens

This is probably my most used lens. Another compact lens, perfect for landscape photography.

An incredible lens. Perfect for portraits, studio work, and of course landscape photography when you need that extra reach.

A Shimoda Explore V2 35 Water Resistant Camera Backpack

iFootage TC7 Carbon Fiber Tripod

I have owned this tripod for 4 years now and it has never missed a beat. Solid construction and a breeze to use.

Really Right Stuff B2- Quick-Release Clamp

This was an immediate purchase after my Z8 fell OFF my tripod and into a river in Oregon while using a cheaper tripod mount plate and L-Bracket.

Shimoda Explore V2 35 Camera Backpack

I’ve owned a few camera backpacks over the years but this pack lives up to the hype. I can see why many pro landscape photographers use these bags.

Benro Triple Action Ballhead

Benro B1 professional ball head offers separate drag adjustment and lock knobs, for a dual action design.

3 Legged Thing Zooey

After purchasing the clamp above, I bought this L-Bracket to replace the cheaper one. When you have $5000+ worth of gear on your tripod, you want to make damn sure it wont fall off and into a river. (And yes, the Z8 did survive!)

Cold-Weather Gloves

The Vallerret Hatchet Photography Glove with FlipTech Finger Caps with Magnets. For those seriously cold mornings, quality gloves are a must. I was skeptical (so was my wallet) at first, but I have to say these gloves are a must have if you’re a landscape photographer.

Mavin Magnetic Filters

These filters are a must have for landscape photographers. I’ve had a variety of branded filters in my gear, but these magnetic filters are simply fantastic and so easy to use.

The rest of it. Here are the other items I use/carry when traveling or shooting.
